Vietnamese weddings are one of my favorite type of cultural weddings to document. I am beginning to appreciate my Vietnamese culture more and more as I get older. This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing Kevin and Hannah’s wedding. The ceremony was held at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Garland, TX at noon. The reception followed later in the evening at Kirin Court Restaurant.
This Dallas Vietnamese wedding was the perfect wedding to jumpstart the spring wedding season. The weather was absolutely perfect, warm with a cool breeze. There was even a sprinkle of rain in the morning for good luck.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated with royal blue, gold, silver, and pink. There were beautiful gold painted wine bottles used as vases throughout the venue that doubles as favors for couples at the end of the night to take home. The night started off with fun dances during the intro from the bridal party and later ended with everyone on the dance floor. There were many guests that sang in contribution to the nights entertainment. Everyone that sang had such an amazing voice, including the bride, who dedicated a song to her new husband.
Kevin and Hannah are the sweetest pair and it was such a joy being able to capture their special day. I loved seeing how happy they were to celebrate their day with all their friends and family.
