Did you recently get engaged and are now planning your engagement session? Great news! Engagement sessions are one of my favorite types of sessions to do and I would love to share with you a few of my favorite spots to photograph at, just in case you are needing some ideas for the backdrop.
Now first thing when it comes to planning your engagement session is the look you are going for. That will help you decide the type of outfits as well as the location of the session. If you are the type of couple that likes to do outdoorsy activities, then an outdoor session might be perfect for you. One of my favorite place to take pictures that has all sorts of pretty flowers and nature-y scenes is the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden.
Although I’ve shot here so many times, I always find new nooks and crannies to photograph my couples at. Also depending on the time of year you go, the Arboretum always has a different look to it.
Another spot that I like photographing at for that pretty outdoor, nature feel is White Rock Lake. The sun beaming against the water and the nice wooden pier that stretches out over it makes for a great backdrop for any engagement session.
If you are feeling more of the city vibe for your engagement session, then Downtown Dallas might be the spot for you. Myself being a city girl, I love photographing a couple with the city as the backdrop. Downtown Dallas has the perfect mix of tall modern sky rises and old historic buildings to convey whatever look you are going for.
Well, my lovely brides and grooms, I hope this post helps you a little bit and gives you a few ideas in deciding where you want your engagement session to take place. Anywhere you choose, make sure that it fits into your love story and have fun with it. Until my next post, xoxo.
